The debut winner of a Corbeagh House maiden which has been a source of smart sorts in recent seasons. This fellow travelled strongly up the hill to the home straight and had to come around the outside to get to the front which was not ideal but happened very easily for him and a mistake at the last arguably cost him a more impressive success. He had done everything right to this point but a short home straight and two fences in quick succession prevent horses stretching clear at this course so the fact that he could recover from the last-fence error to get his head in front illustrates the dominance he enjoyed in this race. His dam has bred two smart winners including West Cork Wildway and coming from the family of Monbeg Dude he will not be found wanting for stamina in due course it would appear to bolster the turn of foot he showed in this contest.
