This son of Mastercraftsman made a fine debut when a close up second at Kinsale to the Pat Doyle trained Westerner winner Marv Michael. The time of this race was a very impressive twelve seconds faster than average and this is largely owing to the fact that this fellow made the running on debut and set a strong pace which almost saw him come home in front. He still led over the last but was agonisingly denied on the line by the winner but the third has since been sold for £105,000 suggesting the market has appreciated how strong a maiden this was. The performance alone will draw people to this fellow but also that fact that his dam won a Curragh maiden on debut and went on to be rated 91 on the flat from only six starts and she was also Group 3 placed. This fellow showed stamina at Kinsale but he speed seems assured also.
