The word eyecatcher can be overused but there is no doubt that this fellow is the eyecatcher from a top maiden at Kirkistown behind the impressive The Hero Next Door. He was off the pace turning along the back straight but cut through the field all the way along the back straight. From the second last home he was alone in chasing the impressive winning The Hero Next Door and closed the gap to just over a length at the line. This was arguably the most obvious eyecatcher of the season and enormous improvement can be expected from him going forward. He is out of an Oscar sister to six winners including Boychuk and Golden Chieftan and has the attributes to go a long way to the top of the NH game.
