The winner of the five-year-old geldings maiden at Lingstown in what was a competitively fought sixteen runner affair. This son of Black Sam Bellamy had been a fair fourth in a Tattersalls four-year-old maiden before scoring on just his second outing on his seasonal reappearance. It was notable that the front pair drew eight lengths clear of their rivals and this winner has a nice pedigree to support him also. His dam is a three times winner and has bred three winners also and it is a family of multiple winners suggesting a soundness also including Manguier who won twenty races.
