Katoune Tara justified her favourites tag at Borris House last Sunday when putting in a very polished display. Clearly having benefited for her two outings last spring, the daughter of Kayf Tara was very assured over her fences and travelled well throughout, in what was quite an evenly run race. It was from the exit of the back straight that she began to pull clear alongside an eye-catching newcomer, as they began to outclass their rivals. Whilst the runner-up did valiantly try to keep her honest in the home straight, she was never able to land a challenging blow, with the five-year-old running out a five-length winner. The pair in turn having 12 lengths to spare over the recently-placed third horse.
