Champagne Wilde made a very promising second start at Boulta when finishing second to South Terrace in a competitive four-year-old maiden. The Son of Oscar was unlucky in his debut performance at Dromahane, when he was brought down at the last where he looked like he was holding placed prospects. The Roisin Hickey-trained runner was prominent throughout before making steady headway over the final mile, where he progressed into second before the second-last and ran on well in the home straight to take the runner-up spot for his connections. This scopey son of Oscar, is out of a half-sister to three-time track winner Mongoose Alert and is clearly progressing in the correct direction to provide plenty of entertainment for his new connections.
