South Terrace was a recent winner at Boulta on what was his second start between-the-flags. The son of Fame and Glory, who pulled up on his debut behind Sir Gerahard at the same venue two weeks earlier, stepped up from this performance to win by an impressive five lengths. The bay gelding was prominent throughout and he began to ease closer on the final circuit where he then picked up the running before three-out, he asserted strongly in the closing stages, to go on and win in a most authoritative fashion. A €5,500 store purchase the four-year-old is out of a half-sister to Jimmy Mangan's former Galway Plate winner Stroll Home and seems to favour soft ground, he is a sound stayer with more than adequate reserves of speed that should develop into a competent racecourse performer.
