Le Bateau a three-year-old son of Le Havre out of the classy race mare BUGIE D’AMORE made a very promising introduction when placed 3rd in the ‘Junior’ Open NH Flat Race at Wincanton. A good looking, scopey gelding he travelled well throughout and was still noticeably green when asked for effort in the home straight. He responded well and galloped all the way to the line chasing home well-regarded Nicky Henderson trainer winner Grand Roi.
