Gallyhill made an exciting debut at Kirkistown by taking his four-year-old maiden in an impressive fashion. The son of Getaway was given a patient ride by Noel McParlan before cruising into the race. Still travelling very strongly before the turn in, the imposing sort kept on strongly to win by two and a half lengths and may well have won by a greater margin only for a careful jump at the final fence and idling somewhat on the run-in. The bay gelding hails from a well-bred family of winners, which includes the 14-time track winner, Tarxien and seven-time track winner Nortonthorpelegend. Jamie Sloan's charge appears to be a decent looking prospect, who looks like he is set to further add to this winning family when he makes his progression to park racing.
