Ocean Drifter posted and exciting performance when winning, in what looked to be a strong looking four-year-old maiden at Lingstown. The son of Aizavoski maintained his form for the third time since starting his career last February. He was third on debut in a useful looking Punchestown maiden back in February before returning in the autumn to finish second to the very promising looking For Talks Sake. This appeared to be yet another step forward for the bay gelding as he was well in command throughout the race and began to inject pace into the contest going to third last where he quickened away in the closing stages to score by one and a half lengths . The success saw him beat some well-bred individuals and he would appear to have a bright future under rules.
