Dan’s Chosen ran a cracker when third on his debut in a four-year-old maiden at Mainstown in December. The Garrett Power-trained gelding was given a patient ride by Jack Hendrick where he was waited with in the rear before making progress on the final mile where he travelled well to go third before three out and kept on well in the closing stages to finish just three and three quarter lengths behind the winner, Sir Sholokhov. One of four newcomers in the race, the son of Well Chosen posted a strong run where he lost little in defeat and is a very likeable youngster with a lot to offer it seems.
