Notre Pari had clearly shown his connections plenty at home, as his price halved in the betting prior to his debut at Rathcannon last month despite taking on well-bred Flemensfirth gelding that had finished placed in arguably one of the races of last season at Dromahane behind Fury Road and El Barra. Ridden patiently on this his debut, this son of Jeremy began to make his move inside the final half-mile. A mistake at the second-last, which saw him peck at the back of the fence, temporarily halted the good progress he was making at the time, dropping him back to fourth in the process. However to his credit, he had regained second by the last, and kept on gamely to finish a three-length second. Given that this was his debut, and he was sandwiched by two horses that had both finished placed on their debuts, this opening efforts bodes well for his future.
