Eaglehill put his experience to good use when taking the opening division of the four-year-old maiden at Kirkistown, the track which produced Petit Mouchoir. Colin McKeever’s charge has improved considerably with each run and followed up on a decent placed effort at Damma House recently to take this contest by eight lengths. Sired by Blue Bresil, the gelding was given a very positive ride by Derek O’Connor and stayed on dourly in the closing stages to see-off a number of promising sorts. The strapping sort is out of a flat winning mare and could be progressive under rules if he maintains his rate of improvement.
