Poncherllo made a very promising debut when filling the runner up spot on his only start in a four-year-old maiden at Lisronagh. Trained by John Paul Brennan, the son of Anzillero chased the leaders for much of the contest and still held every chance at the last. While the debutant didn’t quite pick up as well as the leader, he galloped away to the line and looks capable of taking a similar maiden. Out of a half-sister to two winners, the bay is sure to progress and should be capable of winning his share of races under rules.
