Carry On Magic lost very little in defeat on his debut in the second division of the four-year-old maiden at Corbeagh House. The white-faced son of Jeremy swept to the front four-out, before powering up the hill the final time in front. Jonathan Fogarty’s charge looked the winner turning in and was only joined at the final fence. This likable sort just appeared to tire a little close home, passing the post just a length behind the winner. Considering how well this debutant travelled into the contest and how accurate his jumping is, one would have to be impressed by what looks a very smart sort.
