Coole Well made a very promising debut at Ballindenisk in December when finishing second to Baron De Midleton in a competitive four-year-old maiden. One of nine newcomers in the sixteen-runner field, Coole Lad was waited with at the rear of the field before making steady progress on the final mile. The son of Gold Well went second approaching the final fence only to finish runner-up to a more experienced on the day. Out of a half-sister to Grade 2 performers Bohemian Lass and Hotel Hilamar, Coole Lad is also a half-brother to Benevolent who is a four-time track winner. Coole Lad has shown himself to be a decent youngster that is bred to develop into a smart sort on the track and could have a lot to offer to new connections.
