Sometime Soon made his debut a winning one when taking his maiden at Kirkistown in November and in doing so produced the fastest time of the day which was run 11 seconds above the average of the day. Ridden prominently throughout, the son of Shantou travelled very strongly onto the heels of the leaders on the final mile where he progressed to lead from the penultimate obstacle before pulling clear to win by a comfortable eight lengths. Out of Back Log who won on the flat as well as finishing second in a Listed race for Jim Bolger, Sometime Soon who is also a grandson to the talented Group 2 placed mare in Postage Due. Having shown such an impressive turn of foot on his debut, it is no surprise that he is a full-brother to four winners with three of those being bumper winners. Sometime Soon looks to be a high class addition to the catalogue who should be added to every serious short list.
