Iconic Walk made his debut in a hotly-contested nine-runner Ballycrystal four-year-old affair where he lost nothing in defeat when finishing two-and-a-half lengths adrift of the impressive market leader SeeItoldya. The Walk In The Park-sired bay was happy to race in mid-division until making steady progress into third place before the penultimate fence, where he was left in second by the exit of Gretsky. He kept on gamely, and the pair drew 12 lengths clear of the third placed Grey Area. Out of a half-sister to 2019 Cheltenham Festival winner City Island, Iconic Walk should have no problem shedding his maiden tag and progressing through the ranks.
